چکیده
We report theoretical results on the wavelength stability of a multisection master-oscillator power-amplifier emitting at 1064 nm. use traveling wave equation model to calculate optical output power and spectral maps versus currents injected into different sections device. The numerical explains quantitatively experimental findings, particularly collapse if current control section adjacent distributed Bragg reflector laser acting as master oscillator exceeds certain values. investigate influence reflectivity facet amplifier behavior.

Coherently combined master oscillator fiber power amplifiers for Advanced Virgo.
Stable low-noise high-power lasers are indispensable in advancing the strain sensitivity of interferometric gravitational wave detectors. Advanced LIGO and Advanced Virgo are currently under commissioning and require about 200 W of single-frequency laser power, while the future detector design may require up to the order of 500 W. In this Letter, we present the design and, to the best of our kn...
متن کاملHigh-power arrays of quantum cascade laser master-oscillator power-amplifiers.
We report on multi-wavelength arrays of master-oscillator power-amplifier quantum cascade lasers operating at wavelengths between 9.2 and 9.8 μm. All elements of the high-performance array feature longitudinal (spectral) as well as transverse single-mode emission at peak powers between 2.7 and 10 W at room temperature. The performance of two arrays that are based on different seed-section desig...
متن کاملHigh-peak-power pulse generation from a monolithic master oscillator power amplifier at 1.5 μm.
We present an experimental study on the generation of high-peak-power short optical pulses from a fully integrated master-oscillator power-amplifier emitting at 1.5 μm. High-peak-power (2.7 W) optical pulses with short duration (100 ps) have been generated by gain switching the master oscillator under optimized driving conditions. The static and dynamic characteristics of the device have been s...
متن کاملUltra-short distributed Bragg reflector fiber laser for sensing applications.
We present an ultra-short distributed Bragg reflector fiber laser written in Er/Yb co-doped fiber. The entire laser is only 8.4 mm in length. The lasing threshold is less than 1 mW. The optical signal-to-noise ratio of the laser output is better than 70 dB. The laser emits two orthogonal polarization modes and generates a beat signal with signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 70 dB and 3-dB li...
